The short version

I'm Tan Ji Sheng, an engineer and operator. I studied computer science at Multimedia University and researched deep learning for network-fault prediction through a TM R&D-sponsored Master by Research programme, which I left before the thesis. Across thirteen years of building, the last eight have focused on blockchain infrastructure and applications.

That work included queue-management apps, live bus tracking, and waste-fleet analytics used by two Malaysian local governments. At Trivechain, a public Layer-1, I led development through a proof-of-work upgrade and built the migration to BNB Chain when the original network wound down in 2021. And a full NFT game studio, Playermon, where I progressed from blockchain developer to CEO around September 2021, after completing the smart contract and leading the token-sale promotion campaign. My tenure spanned 2021–2025, and the studio grew to more than 60 people at its peak. The company was acquired; my role ended with that chapter.

Today I'm CEO of GamBit Custody, GamBit Group's digital-asset custody arm. GamBit Custody is regulated by Securities Commission Malaysia. It's a fractional mandate, held alongside independent advisory, systems architecture, and fractional-CTO work at the intersection of AI and blockchain — the thread being that wealth, especially digital wealth, should survive its handovers. There are also small, free, ad-free tools because craft needs an outlet that doesn't need a pitch deck — some of it pro bono, like the interactive blessing panels I built for the Bodhi Temple.
