The short version

I'm Tan Ji Sheng — an engineer who kept ending up in the founder's chair. I studied computer science at Multimedia University, went deep into machine learning during my masters research (teaching models to predict network faults before human experts could), and then spent twelve years building at whatever frontier was hardest at the time.

That meant queue-management apps when mobile was new. Smart-city AI when governments started listening — live bus tracking and waste-fleet analytics that two Malaysian local governments ran in production. Protocol engineering when blockchain got real: I led development of Trivechain, a public Layer-1, through a consensus upgrade and eventually a responsible cross-chain sunset. And a full NFT game studio, Playermon, which I ran as CEO through crypto's harshest winter — growing it past 60 people before exiting through an acquisition.

Today I work independently: advisory, systems architecture, and fractional-CTO engagements at the intersection of AI and blockchain — plus small, free, ad-free tools because craft needs an outlet that doesn't need a pitch deck. The full, honest story of every venture — including the endings — is on the Journey page.
